Job Description

The Advanced Gastroenterologist is a highly skilled and experienced medical professional who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the digestive system. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in gastroenterology and hepatology, with a focus on advanced endoscopic techniques and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Perform a variety of endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
• Interpret endoscopic findings and make appropriate recommendations for treatment.
• Perform advanced endoscopic procedures, such as endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG).
• Manage patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or eligible in gastroenterology
• Fellowship training in advanced endoscopy and interventional procedures
• Excellent clinical skills and judgment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
