Are you passionate about translating academic theory into practical applications that improve consumer financial decision-making? If so, come join our dynamic team of behavioral scientists, data scientists, and product managers to build products that help financial professionals better understand how people think and feel about money.

You will provide scientifically informed and practically relevant behavioral science insights to multiple teams across the organization, including working closely with product development and informing the advisor success curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve client-facing behavioral instruments, including conducting literature reviews, survey design and validation, and experimental design to inform evidence-based product development
• Partner with the product development team to integrate behavioral science research into new and existing fintech products
• Provide content and expertise during the content development process for new and existing client-facing training programs and blogs
• Participate in client sessions, industry events, etc., where appropriate – explain research, methodology, and application
• Stay abreast of latest developments in behavioral science and its implications for fintech applications

Requirements

• Master’s degree in behavioral science/behavioral economics, social or cognitive psychology, or related field(s)
• Understanding of the core tenants of behavioral science: choice architecture, biases and heuristics, and social norms
• Demonstrated competency as a generalist in both qualitative and quantitative methods; you should be able to facilitate a user interview by yourself and run basic inferential statistics and analysis such as correlations, t-tests, and ANOVA.
• Ability to balance design trade-offs between statistical ideals and practical consideration such as cost, response rate, and user adoption
• Ability to translate behavioral theory into compelling insights tailored to those without academic training
• Judgement for parsing credibility of resources in blogs, academic articles, and other material
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Bonus Qualifications

• PhD in behavioral science/behavioral economics, social or cognitive psychology, behavioral marketing, or related field(s)
• Relevant industry experience or training in financial services
