This is a solo-librarian branch located in Grant County. Due to the rural nature of this location, the ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, engaging, and innovative! Library programs, when possible, offer crucial opportunities for community connection, so programming and educational experience is desired!
Job Title: Branch Librarian MLS/MLIS – Mattawa
Bilingual Requirement: English and Spanish
Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Wage: Grade M $30.20 per hour-$40.59 per hour
All new hires are placed at the rate of the beginning salary of the job classification, unless previous relevant experience and education warrant a higher salary than entry level.

Position Summary:
Performs advanced administrative work in planning, organizing, and managing day-to-day operations of a branch library, ensuring efficient delivery of library materials and services. Oversees branch program planning and related work as apparent or assigned. Oversees, trains, and assists in scheduling staff. Serves as a liaison between NCW Libraries and the community and promotes the library and its services. Maintains an awareness of customer needs and new technologies, resources and services that will meet these needs. Must work consistently within NCW Libraries standards and policy directives and support the libraries mission of “Connecting the people of North Central Washington to vital resources and opportunities that foster individual growth and strengthen communities.”

Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in librarianship from an ALA accredited graduate program required (MLS or MLIS).
Three years related experience.
