Join our team as a Financial Controller and take the lead in managing our financial activities with precision and strategic foresight. As the group's first in-house controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the monthly closing process and compiling, analyzing, and communicating performance reports for the company, its departments, and our projects. You will also dedicate time to identify and implement initiatives to enhance and improve the finance function, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
You will work closely with the CFO in a dynamic environment where a prestigious and flexible mindset is crucial. While our recent expansion has been driven primarily by organic growth, we are now positioned to place a greater emphasis also on M&A activities as we continue our growth journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance Financial Follow-Up: Utilize your analytical skills to strengthen RWS's financial follow-up capabilities, with a focus on cost analysis to support impactful decision-making.
Oversee Accounting Operations: Manage the external day-to-day accounting team and take an active role in advanced monthly closing items. This includes developing and refining inventory procedures and revenue recognition processes.
Drive Cross-Departmental Communication: Foster effective communication across departments to educate and inform key stakeholders about financial performance, ensuring alignment and understanding of financial goals.
Collaborate with Group CFO: Work closely with the Group CFO to develop and optimize our finance function, routines, data collection, and analytical processes. Play a crucial role in strategic financial planning and implementation.
Budget Process and Cost management: Be highly involved in the budget process from start to finish, collaborating closely with various functions within the organization. Conduct recurring deviation analysis to ensure financial targets are met and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus
3-5 years of experience preferred.
Proven experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, and accounting
Strong analytical acumen and the ability to derive insights from financial data
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and drive financial performance
Knowledge of manufacturing operations and accounting principles
