What is PACE North? PACE stands for P rogram of A ll Inclusive C are for the E lderly. We are new and unique option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly in daily both our state-of-the-art day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours and as needed in their home. Never heard of us before? That’s okay, we’re new to the region. We began serving the elderly in 2019 and our service model is so popular it’s growing quickly!

What does a Medical Assistant at PACE North do? You can expect to perform both administrative and patient care duties in a clinic setting, document in our electronic medical records system, answer clinic phones and route callers to the appropriate place, schedule patient appointments, coordinate outside vendors, administer medications and perform treatments under the supervision and of our RN team, transport people to and from clinic appointments, clean and prepare exam rooms before and after use, and finally provide PACE North participants with the most cheerful and professional service they've ever received!
Requirements:What qualifications should you bring to the table? We’re looking for that special person who loves serving others and brings a team-first approach to their career. You should be able to demonstrate at least 6 months of clinical Medical Assistant experience, an active certification as a Medical Assistant, valid CPR certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant program students or those with EMT experience are also welcome to apply! It would also be helpful if you've had 1 year of experience in dealing with a frail and/or elderly preferred and had either a phlebotomy certification or appropriate training. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with an inspirational, motivational, and creative approach!
