NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a receptionist at Westchester Funeral Home . Our administrative teams assume the crucial role of ensuring seamless operations throughout every stage of the delicate client family life cycle, from the initial meeting with families until final arrangements are made. We serve as the cornerstone of our client family support structure, acting as the glue that holds everything together. We are problem solvers and peace-of-mind providers - we uphold our commitment to care in every interaction.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside funeral directors with events held on-site, along with transportation of families to churches or cemeteries
• Attend to family needs during a visitation and burial service
• Always maintain reverence and respect for the deceased
• Assist in preparing the funeral home for funeral services
• Ensure flowers and other memorabilia are returned to the family after services
• Ensure premises are clean and free of debris, as well as maintaining company vehicles
• Maintain a professional and empatheic relationship with families during services

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service preferred
• Experience handling difficult situations
• Ability to adapt to varying schedules
• Funeral professional experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive different-sized vehicles
• This is not a REMOTE position
