Job DescriptionThe Revenue Cycle Manager is a vital aspect of our billing team who is responsible for oversight of daily billing/submissions of claims, correcting and monitoring rejections, reviewing staff tasks, third-party follow-up, and reviewing payments posted, among other duties.
JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Oversee and streamline billing and collection processes
Manage and reconcile patient accounts
Oversee the claims and collections team, ensure timeliness and compliance
Establish and maintain Accounts Receivable goals and perform monthly close
Review payer contracts to ensure billing and reimbursement compliance and accuracy
Provide effective communication to patient/family, team members, and other health care professionals and maintain confidentiality.
Review posted payments for reimbursement according to contract and accuracy in relation to posted to correct line items.
Detailed understanding of healthcare insurance follow-up processes, including resolving non-paid, denied, underpaid, and rejected claims.
Review billing and follow-up trends, make recommendations for resolution of issues and findings of staff, and report findings to leadership
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in medical billing is preferred
Skills: Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, builds trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
Ability to sustain prolonged sitting and extended computer use. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and to make quick decisions.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
