Job Description

About Rivian

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

As a key member of Rivian’s centralized Corporate Development and Integration team, you will play an active role in acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other meaningful external engagements that support Rivian’s mission and company goals. You will support entire processes including strategy formulation, financial modeling/valuation analysis, due diligence, project management with a variety of stakeholders and workstreams, negotiation and deal execution, working with business leaders, internal cross functional partners and external advisors.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate potential acquisitions, investments, strategic partnerships and other external opportunities from a qualitative and quantitative perspective.
  2. Distill complex findings and build clear and compelling business cases for review by Rivian’s executive team and Board of Directors.
  3. Support due diligence processes, cross-functional project management and integration planning.
  4. Support deal execution including documentation and post-closing implementation.
Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of work experience in corporate development, strategy, management consulting, investment banking and/or other related fields.
  2. Strong financial, research and analytical skills with ability to assimilate data, extract insights, and make informed recommendations.
  3. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and willingness to dive deep.
  4. Ownership mentality, with ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.
  6. A keen interest in understanding industry trends and competitive dynamics.
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for CA based applicants: $117,200 - $146,500 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.

Equal Opportunity

Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information or characteristics, physical or mental disability, marital/domestic partner status, age, military/veteran status, medical condition, or any other characteristic protected by law.
