Salary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to become a part of our team. You will be designing new equipment and fully automated systems as well as improving existing designs for advanced, high-precision slot die deposition (coating) equipment and integrated process solutions used in the display, microelectronics, alternative energy, and other thin-film dependent industries.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with mechanical, controls and manufacturing engineers to develop and/or modify electromechanical, fluid and pneumatic systems
• Design and detail assemblies, mechanisms, fluid systems, structures, and packaging; design metal and plastic parts
• Perform product development activities, including interpretation and implementation of internal and external customer specifications
• Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production
• Create detailed drawings, and other manufacturing documentation as required
• Create specifications and documentation to support subsystem designs per corporate and customer requirements
• Assist with detailing other engineers' designs
• Research components for new and existing development
• Conduct engineering studies
• Perform basic engineering analysis
• Hands-on assembly and testing required during prototyping and start-up. Troubleshooting responsibilities on new and existing products

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years experience required
• Must be proficient in Solidworks with recent experience
• Must be experienced in mechanical drafting, manufacturing or other related fields
• Familiarity with machine designs for highly clean environments
• Deadline and detail-oriented
