Salary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surveyor to join our team. As a Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our organization, utilizing your expertise in Construction or Precision survey. The ideal candidate will have experience in utilizing a Total Station for surveying purposes and a strong understanding of survey data management. Knowledge of Leica is also preferred.

About the Job

  • Utilize a Total Station and a base rover/RTK to survey for new onsite projects, including piping, civil work, and other related areas.
    • Manage survey data and documentation performed by other contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
    • Maintain and update master survey control documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Set up Total Station equipment to capture existing monuments or previously surveyed targets. Traverse to new monument locations and establish temporary benchmarks within scope areas to enable laser scanning.
  • Perform Control layout for precision laser scanning
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Preferred knowledge of Leica technology. 
  • Proficient in using a Total Station for surveying and data collection.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in survey measurements and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and contractors.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S

 

Education and Experience

  • Must possess a valid license to practice land surveying.
  • Familiarity with Leica technology is preferred.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to walk with the equipment at client sites for an entire day when needed.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs with the equipment when needed.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to carry 20-30lbs of equipment when capturing site conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs to be able to put the equipment with the cases in and out of company vans and/or trucks.
