Job Description
JOB SUMMARY : We are currently seeking an experienced TOUR MANAGER to travel with the touring unit of Universoul Circus responsibilities include successfully planning, preparing, and day-to-day operations of the tour. The tour manager is also tasked with the general well-being of the performers and crew while on the road. Must be detail-oriented, have impeccable organizational skills, and be an effective communicator. Frequent travel is required , must have the ability to foresee logistical pitfalls and determine (and take) the necessary actions to correct the situation. A key responsibility involves hiring the necessary vendors that will supply production elements, production crew and tour personnel. May source quotes from different vendors, negotiate, and secure the best possible deal. Additionally, the tour manager will act as a liaison for national promoters and talent for request for promotional or media interviews and promotional events, coordinates with corporate PR staff on show changes and to ensure talent is prepared for media appearances, reviews and coordinates promotional requests to ensure events are in-line with Universoul strategies and concepts, manages the production of media opportunities, promotions and national events and oversees any issues that may arise during on-site or off-site promotional events.
CREDENTIALS : Prefers a bachelor’s degree, will accept a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of (3) years of tour management experience preferably in the live entertainment industry OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Ability to travel for the length of the tour.
