We are currently seeking a Vice President to join our Public Institutions (PI) group on a full-time basis in our Washington, DC office. This position will provide management and analytical support for the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI). The MHPI program is a Large Scale - Public-Private Partnership (P3) Social Infrastructure Program, providing affordable housing to 200,000 service members and their families at active military installations across the United States. JLL provides oversight support to the DoD involving all aspects of real estate including project finance, development, construction, operation, clean energy, and sustainability.

  • Advise DoD clients on all aspects of large-scale housing privatization projects, including real estate finance, property management, construction oversight, and legal document review;
  • Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data;
  • Review and analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations, and restructures;
  • Provide project management assistance, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on issue identification and resolution;
  • Develop and update briefing materials for stakeholders in the housing privatization program;
  • Brief senior leaders from the Military Departments who do not have a financial or technical background;
  • Monitor project performance and Key Performance Indicators, develop short and long-term cash flow projections, develop and propose recommendations to address challenges;
  • Document best practices and lessons learned for the program;
  • Produce accurate and well-organized deliverables on schedule.

To apply you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant professional discipline, and a minimum 8 years of relevant experience in real estate, government contracting, sustainability, clean energy, and/or related fields
  • Prior experience with the MHPI program, P3 oversight, or large-scale affordable housing is preferred
  • Federal credit or prior experience with large-scale Federal programs a plus
  • United States citizenship (a contractual requirement)
  • Current DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to secure DoD Secret clearance
  • Strong financial/analytical, strategic thinking, organization, time management, client relationship, and project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and work in a fast-paced team and changing environment
  • Availability for occasional travel

Estimated total compensation range for this position is:

120,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD per year
